Zaide has appeared in over 32 stage productions in Mexico encompassing a wide range of playwrights from the best in Mexico to the Classics, including works by Sor Juana, Rascón Banda, Carballido and Agüelles, Dario Fo, Finn Methling and Shakespeare.
She has directed 5 works, translated or adapted several others from English to Spanish and has written 2 plays of her own.
In 1997 she founded Mundo Canela Productions Productions along with her Canadian partner Richard McDowell. Mundo Canela Productions have translated to Spanish and produced three nominated or award-winning productions in Mexico City, Journey to the Green Shadows by Danish playwright Finn Methling, So Low by Canadian playwright Denise Clarke and The Moon as Seen by The Dead by Daniel Rodríguez Barrón.
She has performed and won awards for 3 monologue performances including The Capricious Life, (written especially for her by Emilio Carballido), A Woman Alone by Dario Fo and Franca Rame and So Low by Denise Clarke.
So Low ran for two seasons in Mexico City, and was awarded three separate awards for "Best Monologue Performance" by the Mexico City Theatre Critics Association. So Low was also performed in many cities inside Mexico and travelled to The International Theatrical Festival in Nicaragua.
